This little pond is right near Lake Superior and the creek runs into the big lake here ~ when there is enough water running to do that. Lake Superior's wave action frequently piles up the gravel so deep and thick it isn't able to run out ~ like now. So, it's just a pretty spot along the beach with lots of wildflowers! Joe Pye Weeds being highlighted here.
